Full Job Description
Purpose of Role

Records financial transactions, following the accounting rules and internal control guidelines, and present them in a form that informs business decisions.

Key Accountabilities Include

  • Ensure application of company policies and accounting guidelines.
  • Support timely resolution of issues.
  • Support accurate and timely processing of subledger and GL recordings.
  • Support awareness and adherence to internal controls.
  • Ensure delivery of timely and accurate financial reports.


Primary Responsibilities Include

  • Participate in month end close activities; prepare journal entries and enter journal entries for posting such as fixed asset, sales/marketing programs and warranty cost analysis
  • Create master data records and maintain subledger entries
  • Advise internal departments.
  • Provide information and answers to financial and JSOX auditors.
  • Prepare the parents company reporting package.
  • GL accounts reconciliation and analysis; including fluctuation analysis.
  • Create and maintain documentation for processes and procedures for responsible tasks.

  • Internal Controls Over Financial Statement: Document internal controls/process flows and establish internal controls in compliance with JSOX.
  • Reconciliations: Ensure that two sets of accounting records are in agreement.
  • Reporting: Generate appropriate reports to meet information requests and/or needs.

Qualifications
Ideal

  • Advanced Excel experience; including manipulating large datasets, creating complex formulas, and generating reports
  • Demonstrated success applying GAAP (IFRS) to financial reporting
  • Experience with ERP
  • Progressive experience in general ledger accounting in a corporate environment
  • Progressive experience with account reconciliation/intercompany reconciliations and reserve balance analysis
  • Experience with reporting systems


Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • Knowledge of Oracle
  • 5+ years related experience in general ledger accounting in corporate environment


Compensation

  • The hiring range for this position is $70,000 - $95,000 annually + bonus. This is the hiring range and does not include the value of benefits. The hiring range does not reflect total earning potential over time.
  • Final offers within the posted compensation range are based on qualifications, skills and experience required for the role.
