What you'll doBecome part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Financial Reporting: Support in preparing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP. Ensure accurate and timely month-end close process, including reconciliations of balance sheets and profit & loss accounts
- VW Group Reporting/Intra-group Accounting: Ensure compliance with our intra-group regulations and reporting requirements for all intra-group transactions. Support a smooth submission and reporting of financial statements for consolidation with VW Group Accounting monthly.
- General Ledger Management: Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and comply with accounting standards. Support the finance team with technical queries and ensure the correct application of accounting principles.
- Ensure accurate management of capitalized development costs and assets under construction (IAS 16, IAS 38)
- Responsible for completing the accounting and financial statements for Scout Motors Inc. non-consolidated entity Scout Motors Sales LLC from beginning to the end.
- Support in accounts payable processes and system migrations
- Financial Analysis: Provide detailed analysis and insights on financial performance, highlighting areas for improvement
- Internal Controls & Compliance: Interpret and apply technical accounting standards to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP). Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
- Audits: Support the preparation of audit schedules, including reconciliations and analyses of financial data.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation within accounting operations to increase efficiency and accuracy. Contribute to the implementation of new accounting systems or upgrades.
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors corporate headquarters in Charlotte, NC.
- This role requires a minimum of 4 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.
- Applicants should expect that the role may require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and be able to travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA, CA/ ACCA, or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the automotive industry or a multinational corporation.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS, US GAAP), standards and financial reporting requirements
- Experience in managing the general ledger, financial reporting and intra-group transactions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Proficient in accounting software (SAP S4/HANA, Microsoft Excel, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to non-financial stakeholders
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay TransparencyThis is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $100,000.00 - $125,000.00
