Description:

We are looking for a Senior Accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join our Resorts Accounting Team. This position will report to the Controller, Resorts Division.

Responsibilities
  • Lead full cycle accounting responsibilities ensuring accurate and timely results are provided to the business
  • Prepare periodic financial update and various other reports
  • Liaise with operations management on accounting issues
  • Responsible for complex balance sheet reconciliations
  • Maintain effective internal controls, identify risks and propose recommendations for required control changes as necessary
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements, prioritizing automation where possible.
  • Build great working relationships with the business to promote synergies
  • Support the annual external financial statement audits and tax filing requirements
  • Perform other accounting duties as required


Role Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required
  • CPA designation, or equivalent
  • Experience in full-cycle accounting role with a strong working knowledge of GAAP
  • Strong financial analysis skills and independent problem solving
  • Exceptional time management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work within established deadlines and time constraints
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to have fun and be a great team player
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel and ERP systems (Microsoft D365 Finance & Operations experience would be considered an asset)
