About the role:

As a Senior Accountant you will assist with the financial operations of the company. You will have technical accounting skills, familiarity with FAR/DFARS cost principles, and hands-on experience with Deltek Costpoint. You will report to the Senior Manager, Finance, Westinghouse Government Services and work remote. 100% Remote role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage general ledger activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close processes
  • Maintain Project Account Groups (PAGs) and cost element structures within Costpoint to ensure segregation of direct and indirect costs
  • Ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, CAS (Cost Accounting Standards), and DCAA audit requirements
  • Support incurred cost submissions, provisional billing rates, and annual indirect rate reconciliations
  • Process and review project-related transactions including labor, travel, ODCs (Other Direct Costs), and subcontractor costs
  • Perform account reconciliations for accounts payable, and accrued liabilities
  • Support internal and external audits, including DCAA and DCMA reviews, by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Contracts staff to ensure accurate project setup, budgeting, and cost tracking
  • Help with system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting within Costpoint modules (GL, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Project Accounting, Billing)
  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy of financial operations


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a government contracting environment.


We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $76,400 to $95,500 per year.
