Full Job Description
The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the full cycle financial close process including General Ledger maintenance, expense management and work in progress tracking. This position is located in-office 5 days a week (Rockville, MD).
  1. Reconcile assigned Balance Sheet accounts and record applicable journal entries
  2. Prepare period end fluctuation analysis to support the timely closing of the period.
  3. Review non-merchandise invoices for proper coding and approvals.
  4. Review utility invoices for proper usage and work with utility providers to ensure timely payment
  5. Review store expenses to ensure proper coding and record necessary accruals
  6. Pull supporting documentation and receipts to record all online purchases
  7. Manage the corporate credit card reconciliation process and ensure adherence to travel policy
  8. Work closely with other departments to track work-in-progress and maintain corporate and production inventories
  9. Evaluate initiatives, recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to achieve continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  10. Prepare and present data/presentations in a timely and easy to understand format.
  11. Foster a workplace consistent with MOM's purpose, values, and goals.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 3-5 years' related experience
  • Proficiency with automated A/P systems
  • Experience with general ledger account reconciliation
  • Experience with financial reporting and analysis
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Google Suite & Microsoft Office
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Consistency with meeting deadlines

The salary range for this position is $82- $95k.
