Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, month-end close, general ledger management, and accounting operations within an established industrial organization.
This is a hands-on senior-level position requiring strong technical accounting knowledge, independent decision-making, and the ability to manage complex accounting responsibilities with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Prepare journal entries and manage month-end, quarterly, and year-end close activities.
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Maintain gross margin reports and calculate sales commissions.
- Support accounts payable, lease accounting, corporate credit cards, and revenue recognition.
- Prepare audit schedules, tax documentation, and regulatory reports.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and internal controls.
- Lead accounting process improvements and system enhancement projects.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5-6+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Minimum 2 years of SAP experience.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial accounting principles.
- Demonstrated ownership of month-end close activities.
- Experience in corporate or manufacturing accounting.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred: CPA designation or active pursuit, IFRS knowledge, and experience in manufacturing, industrial, or multi-entity organizations.
