Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leased asset accounting, analysis, and reporting ensuring transactions are accurate, appropriately booked, and reconciled.
- Manage month end close process including preparation of lease journals, reclasses, and accruals posted in various ERP systems.
- Perform monthly reconciliations for key balance sheet accounts accurately, timely, and fully supported with proper documentation. Investigate variances & work with procurement and accounting teams to resolve.
- Lead & track status of lease additions, modifications, renewals, and terminations.
- Create and process transactions and amortization schedules in lease accounting system (CoStar).
- Key contributor in system integration and migration projects.
- Analyze monthly balance sheet and P&L activity and prepare flux commentary with support.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and analyses.
- Conduct annual physical lease inventory reviews, analyze asset changes, and consolidate results.
- Manage tight deadlines for close and reporting purposes while ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and internal controls in a SOX environment.
- Document/update processes and continue to look for new ways to improve accurate and efficient practices.
- Collaborate with other departments and provide support for external auditors and internal tax & reporting teams.
- Provide cross-training, guidance, and backup support to lease accounting team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business required.
- Minimum 5 years of solid accounting experience required with 3 plus years in a large corporation environment preferred.
- SAP or large ERP systems experience required, CoStar experience a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) & interpersonal skills.
- Must be detail-oriented and have advanced analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Strong ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Able to work a flexible schedule during key reporting deadlines.
A reasonable estimate of the current range is $90,000-$100,000 + bonus + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. At Novolex, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
