DMR Associates is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support the day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting of the business. This position plays a critical role in ensuring accurate financial records, maintaining strong internal controls, supporting month-end close activities, and providing financial insights that help drive business decisions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, collaborative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where they can take ownership while partnering across departments.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain accurate monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Lead month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Analyze financial statements and investigate variances.
- Maintain general ledger integrity and ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Prepare schedules and support documentation for annual audits and tax reporting.
- Reconcile bank accounts, fixed assets, prepaid expenses, accruals, and intercompany transactions.
- Review accounting processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
- Partner with operations and department leaders to provide financial support and analysis.
- Assist with cash management and treasury activities.
- Support accounts payable and receivable processes and collections as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable accounting regulations.
Qualifications- BS in Accounting or Finance required.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
