Technology & Vendor Accounting
  • Support accounting and financial reporting for software, cloud computing arrangements, SaaS subscriptions, implementation costs, and technology-related contracts.
  • Review vendor agreements, statements of work, and purchase arrangements to determine appropriate accounting treatment under U.S. GAAP.
  • Assist in evaluating capitalization versus expense determinations for technology investments and implementation projects.
  • Partner with Procurement, Technology, Legal, and Finance teams to ensure proper accounting for new vendor arrangements.

Analysis & Reporting
  • Perform detailed variance analysis and explain period-over-period fluctuations to management.
  • Develop actionable insights from financial data to support business decision-making and cost management initiatives.
  • Prepare executive-level reporting packages and management presentations.
  • Analyze large data sets from multiple financial systems and develop efficient reporting solutions.

Audit & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, SOX controls, corporate accounting policies, and financial governance requirements.
  • Maintain documentation supporting accounting conclusions and key accounting estimates.

Process Improvement & Automation
  • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes through automation and improved reporting solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, scalability, and control effectiveness.
  • Leverage advanced Excel and financial systems capabilities to improve data quality and reporting accuracy.

Collaboration & Leadership
  • Serve as a key accounting partner to stakeholders across Finance, Technology, Procurement, Legal, and Operations.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on accounting policies, close procedures, and best practices.
  • Support special projects, acquisitions, system implementations, and strategic finance initiatives as assigned.
  • Provide operational oversight and governance of offshore and third-party accounting resources supporting financial close, reconciliations, accruals, and reporting activities.
  • Review and validate work products prepared by outsourced accounting teams, ensuring appropriate supporting documentation, accounting conclusions, and control execution.
  • Establish expectations, monitor performance against service-level objectives, and ensure accounting deliverables are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with company policies.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience.
• Five or more years of progressive accounting experience in a complex corporate or public accounting environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, accrual accounting and account reconciliation practices.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex close activities, accounting estimates and competing priorities independently.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, data analysis and financial modeling.
• Experience using enterprise resource planning systems and analyzing large financial data sets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with careful attention to detail and documentation.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for explaining accounting matters to financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications
