Full Job Description
What We'll Need

The Senior Accountant is responsible for the accurate and timely execution of Delasco's month-end close process, daily and monthly cash reconciliation, treasury and wire payment activity, and sales tax compliance administration. This role combines strong technical accounting execution with responsibility for key financial controls and serves as a central hands-on contributor to Delasco's ongoing ERP migration (Acumatica). The Senior Accountant also supports the annual audit by preparing samples and backup documentation and provides backup coverage for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions as needed. The Senior Accountant is expected to work closely with the CFO and finance/accounting team in executing the close and supporting broader finance function needs.

In This Role You Will:
  • Prepare and post journal entries for the month-end close process in accordance with company accounting policies.
  • Prepare account reconciliations and supporting schedules and investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Complete month-end A/P and A/R aging schedule calculations as needed.
  • Support the CFO and team with close-related data and schedules needed for the financial reporting package.
  • Oversee daily and monthly cash reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
  • Prepare, review, and process wire payments and positive pay payments; maintain proper documentation and approval trails for all treasury activity.
  • Enter manual wire payments and EFT payments; calculate and record currency gains and losses on international invoices as needed.
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready documentation of all cash and treasury transactions.
  • Own process documentation for all accounting procedures and updating as needed post-ERP implementation.
  • Manage Avalara AvaTax and the sales tax compliance website, ensuring accurate tax calculation, nexus monitoring, and filing setup across jurisdictions.
  • Assist with the design, structure, and ongoing maintenance of the chart of accounts, including redesign work as part of the Acumatica implementation.
  • Serve as a key accounting-side contributor to the Acumatica migration, including data validation, migration testing, and close-process design within the new system.
  • Partner with the implementation team and internal stakeholders to ensure the ERP supports accurate, efficient accounting operations.
  • Prepare samples and supporting/backup documentation requested by external auditors as part of the annual audit.
  • Coordinate with the CFO to ensure audit requests are fulfilled accurately and on schedule. This role supports the audit process and does not own the audit relationship or associated technical judgment calls.
  • Provide backup coverage for Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions performed by the Accounting Associate and Financial Operations Lead as needed, including processing invoices, payments, and customer/vendor account research.
  • This role does not have supervisory authority over the other accounting team members.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience required, including hands-on month-end close experience.
  • Experience with treasury functions, wire payments, or cash management strongly preferred.
  • ERP migration/implementation and chart of accounts redesign experience preferred.
  • CPA or active CPA candidacy a plus, not required.
  • Experience with Avalara AvaTax or similar sales tax automation software preferred.

Required Skills & Abilities:
  • Applied working knowledge of US GAAP and strong technical accounting execution
  • Experience with treasury functions, wire payments, and/or cash management
  • Advanced Excel and ERP proficiency; comfort using modern AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini)
  • High attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to meet close/treasury deadlines

If you're ready to take ownership of close, cash, and systems work, we'd like to hear from you.
