About the RoleWe are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Senior Accountant to support our U.S. finance operations. This role will be responsible for reviewing payroll, maintaining accounts receivable, Leases & Fixed assets and supporting day-to-day accounting and reconciliation activities. This roll will be integral to the month end close process. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience with US GAAP and payroll, and a proactive, hands-on approach to daily operations.
What You'll DoAccounting Operations:
- Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including journal entries, accruals, and month-end close tasks.
- Maintain accounts receivable, invoice customers
- Perform detailed account reconciliations related to banks, revenue, payroll, benefits, employee reimbursements and more.
- Monitor GL accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Process Improvement & Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to internal controls over payroll and compensation accounting.
- Identify and propose improvements to streamline payroll and cost accounting processes.
- Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits related to payroll and compensation
What You'll Need- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 7+ years of payroll and/or general accounting experience, preferably in a U.S. GAAP based company.
- Exposure to multi- entity corporations, international exposure is a plus.
- Familiarity with NetSuite
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with integrity and confidentiality.
Nice to Have- Exposure to cost accounting or expense allocation practices.
- Understanding of equity or bonus compensation accounting is a plus.
