Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director, Accounting Operations, you will play a key role within the Accounting team. We are looking for a motivated individual who can assist the team with both routine and complex transactions on a monthly basis, as well as play a supporting role in Financial Reporting activities, with a strong ability to prioritize a variety of tasks and ensure a timely close process. This is a dynamic, high-visibility role that will allow you to use your problem solving and collaboration skills across a number of C4T's teams. In collaboration with members of the Accounting & Finance team, you will implement process improvements that improve the day to day responsibilities of your role. Your Role
  • Perform a number of accounting activities to support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations and assistance with flux analyses, partnering across C4T as necessary to do so.

  • Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and public company reporting standards.
  • Assist with 10-Q and 10-K Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) external reporting procedures, preparing footnotes, reviewing disclosures, and partnering with the financial reporting team to ensure quality and timely filings.

  • Provide guidance on daily operations and process improvements on a continuous basis, including exploring and implementing automation tools relevant to accounting operations.
  • Assist with post-close tasks that include collaborating with Business Planning team to understand and research fluctuations in the financial results.
  • Ensure adherence to the Company's SOX internal controls including effective execution of existing controls in respective business processes, as well as consideration of new controls.
  • Perform other related duties and ad hoc projects as required by position.


Your Background

Required:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar related discipline with a minimum of five years of experience in a public accounting role with strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX 404 internal control compliance.
  • Exposure to public company financial reporting activities, such as reviewing SEC filings.
  • Demonstrated history of strong organizational skills and ability to produce accurate, detailed work, including work that requires adherence to strict confidentiality.
  • A proven track record of working both independently and in a team environment, including time management, planning and prioritization.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Office products, specifically Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.).

Preferred:
  • Experience working in a similar role in a life sciences organization.
  • C.P.A. certification or path to C.P.A.


Compensation

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $101,275.00 and $111,935.00 annually; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
