What You'll Do:
- Oversee and execute key accounting functions including general ledger management, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Perform in-depth cost analysis across our operations, supporting inventory valuation, job costing, and variance tracking.
- Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and account analysis.
- Partner with department leaders to ensure accurate financial tracking and forecasting across all lines of business.
- Prepare internal financial statements and dashboards that support leadership in decision-making.
- Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with external audits and financial reviews by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to inquiries.
- Support process improvements in finance systems and reporting to improve efficiency and accuracy.
What We're Looking For:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or pursuit of CPA preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing, transportation, or dealership setting.
- Skills:
- Strong understanding of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory controls.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP platforms).
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to create pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial models.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
