The Role - Senior AccountantThis role will report into the Financial Controller and take responsibility of the payroll and all ancillary compensation processes alongside month end reporting activities.
What you will do- Manage the end-to-end payroll process for Mexico and USA to ensure the timely and accurate processing of payroll.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state and local payroll regulations
- Manage day-to-day operations of sales compensation (commissions) plan, including commission calculations and data accuracy.
- Administer sales commission and incentive compensation plans to ensure timely payouts.
- Analyse data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement in compensation structures.
- Perform month end tasks related to payroll and sales compensation include preparing journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Collaborate with Sales, Revenue Operations, HR, and Finance teams to address payroll and compensation-related questions and resolve disputes.
- Generate payroll and commission reports and assist in audits as needed
Skills we are looking for- Knowledge of sales compensation structures and practices.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient with compensation management tools, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting required
- At least 5+ years' experience in accounting, both public and private
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- High attention to detail
- Good problem-solving and time management skills
- Proficiency in Excel (Vlookups and pivot tables)
- Microsoft Dynamics experience preferred
- CPA preferred
