Overview

MSL is currently seeking a digitally fluent Senior Account Supervisor (SAS) for our Consumer Brands practice in our Chicago office. As an integral member of the team, this Senior Account Supervisor will lead the development and execution of social-first ideas and integrated communications programs that break through in culture. The role will also lead day-to-day account activities for iconic brands, with a sharp eye for the cultural conversations, influencers and digital behaviors shaping consumer attention.

If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are excited to turn culture into work that earns attention, drives conversation and creates influence, we want you on the team. You should understand how the PESO ecosystem works together and bring hands-on experience across digital strategy and influencer marketing, from owned social and community content to influencer programs, earned media and paid amplification. Details matter: you should be able to manage timelines and budgets, guide junior team members, work with senior leaders to move the work forward and present confidently to clients.

If culture is the top of your social feed, you understand how people discover, share and act on ideas, and you are curious about how communications can shape what shows up in search, social and AI-powered answers, this is the place for you. We offer a collaborative and creative environment that celebrates innovation, continuous learning and smart experimentation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of social-first consumer communications programs and ideas across the PESO ecosystem, connecting earned media, owned social, influencer, creator, community and paid amplification to client goals
  • Lead influencer and creator strategy and manage execution of influencer, celebrity and talent programs from end to end, including talent identification, briefs, content review, creative direction and reporting; paid media experience a plus
  • Lead owned social and community-led work, including content planning, channel activation and coordination with social, creative and media partners
  • Stay close to culture, consumer behavior, platform shifts, influencer communities and emerging conversations; translate what is happening in the feed into timely ideas and opportunities for clients
  • Harness AI and LLM tools to accelerate research, ideation, drafting and analysis, while understanding how earned authority, trusted content and credible voices shape brand discovery and recommendation across search and AI-powered platforms
  • Collaborate across PR, social, influencer, creative, strategy, media and agency partner teams to help deliver connected work rather than channel-by-channel execution
  • Develop in-person and virtual event execution logistics, including vendor coordination, run-of-show creation, real-time results management and budget management
  • Write strong media, social and consumer-facing materials, including persuasive pitches, press releases, briefs, talking points and fact sheets, with a proven understanding of the media and creator landscape
  • Lead account management by leading client calls, developing clear recaps, managing project timelines and proactively driving next steps
  • Develop program recap reports that connect performance metrics, cultural response and key takeaways to program impact and future optimization
  • Support financial processes for client programs, including budget trackers, billing, invoicing and vendor payments
  • Conduct research for plan development through independent desktop and social research, AI-assisted exploration where appropriate, and collaboration with in-house research and culture teams
  • Provide oversight, guidance and mentorship to junior team members, contributing to a positive, inclusive and collaborative team environment
  • Lead all aspects of media and social monitoring and provide proactive updates, opportunities and thoughtful perspective for clients

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in a related field or equivalent relevant experience
  • 5-6+ years of experience in PR, influencer marketing, digital strategy, social media or integrated communications; agency experience with CPG and/or retail brands and multicultural programming a plus
  • Strong understanding of the PESO model and how earned, shared, owned and paid channels work together to build visibility, credibility, participation and consumer action
  • Hands-on familiarity with digital and social work, from owned channel content and community engagement to influencer and creator programs
  • Creative problem solver with a strong pulse on culture who can turn trends, tensions and audience behavior into relevant ideas for brands
  • Curiosity about AI and LLM tools, including how communications, credible sources and earned media can shape brand discovery, visibility and understanding in AI-powered environments
  • Strong verbal communication skills, client presence and professionalism
  • Excellent writing, attention to detail, organization, multitasking and proactive project management skills
  • Flexibility to move between different tasks, collaborate across subject areas and pivot quickly based on client and cultural needs
  • Experience with social listening, media intelligence or measurement tools such as Brandwatch, Cision, Sprinklr, Google Trends or similar platforms a plus
  • Experience working across retail or beauty brands a plus
