Job Requisition #: 034468 Senior Account Manager, Small Plastics (Open) Job Description: Lead commercial growth for Greif's Small Plastics business by managing a portfolio of complex and high-potential accounts, strengthening customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. This role is responsible for driving profitable growth through strategic account management, margin improvement initiatives, and proactive business development, while partnering closely with internal teams to deliver strong service, market insight, and long-term customer value. Although this is a national role, the selected candidate must be based near a Greif location to effectively manage customer accounts and support travel across the assigned territory. Local presence is important to enable strong account coverage, responsiveness, and efficient travel, and a company car is provided. Key Responsibilities 347 Deliver revenue, volume, and margin targets through disciplined opportunity management 347 Develop and execute account plans for top accounts; align stakeholders and set quarterly growth actions 347 Develop and maintain a satisfactory opportunity pipeline through active sales calls and value selling 347 Qualify, propose, and negotiate customer agreements; leverage pricing frameworks and value selling to expand margin 347 Forecast monthly and quarterly results with high accuracy; manage mix and capacity constraints proactively. 347 Coordinate plant/site visits, product trials, and technical consultations to accelerate deal cycles. 347 Collaborate with Inside Sales, Customer Service, and Supply Chain to drive flawless execution. 347 Use CRM to manage pipeline health, risk, and coverage; ensure data completeness and timeliness. 347 Monitor and address service or quality issues; escalate and drive corrective actions with cross-functional teams. 347 Map buying centers and expand relationships beyond purchasing into operations and leadership. 347 Champion safety and compliance in all customer engagements and internal activities. 347 Leads complex or non-standard negotiations and commercial structures. 347 Acts as a commercial escalation point for key or at-risk accounts. 347 Manages higher-revenue and higher-complexity portfolios with greater autonomy. 347 Mentors junior sellers through deal reviews and account strategy support (without formal people management). 347 Performs other duties as assigned. Education & Experience 347 Typically possesses a Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) 347 Typically requires 8+ years of experience. 347 Experienced in HDPE blow molding of rigid containers and familiarity/knowledge in the Agricultural Chemical (Crop Protection) market. Knowledge & Skills 347 Proficiency with CRM for pipeline, forecasting, and account management. 347 Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated pricing and negotiation capability. 347 Clear, concise communication (written and verbal) with executive presence. 347 Ability to analyze data to generate insights and action plans. 347 Collaborative working style with cross-functional teams (Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Quality). 347 Organized, disciplined operating cadence; able to manage multiple priorities. 347 Coaching and talent development; ability to build high-performance teams. 347 Operating cadence leadership (1:1s, deal reviews, QBRs) and change management. Total Target Compensation Range: The total target compensation range for this position, including sales incentives, is $133,200 - $213,100. Typically, a competitive range for new hires will fall between $165,000 - $175,000. Offers for this position may vary based on market data and other factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location.
