Description

Imprimus Labels & Packaging is seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager to manage and support a key strategic customer account. This highly visible, customer-focused role combines account management, customer service, project management, and manufacturing coordination.

The Senior Account Manager will serve as the primary day-to-day contact for the assigned customer and the key liaison between the customer and our internal Sales, Customer Service, Planning, Production, Prepress, Quality, and other operational teams.

We are looking for someone who understands the label and packaging industry, thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and takes ownership of customer needs from initial request through production and final delivery.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day contact and internal advocate for an assigned strategic customer.
  • Build strong working relationships with customer buyers, product managers, and other key contacts.
  • Manage customer projects from initial request through production and delivery.
  • Coordinate new product launches, SKU transitions, artwork changes, label revisions, material changes, regulatory updates, and other customer initiatives.
  • Develop project timelines, track milestones, identify potential obstacles, and coordinate resources to keep projects on schedule.
  • Provide proactive updates regarding orders, proofs, production schedules, changes, potential delays, quality concerns, and delivery requirements.
  • Coordinate artwork, prepress, proofs, revisions, specifications, approvals, and final customer sign-off.
  • Monitor open orders and proactively identify and escalate at-risk orders.
  • Coordinate rush orders and expedite requests while balancing customer expectations with manufacturing capabilities and lead times.
  • Work closely with Planning and Production regarding capacity, materials, tooling, scheduling, and delivery commitments.
  • Partner with Quality to investigate customer complaints, coordinate corrective actions, and communicate resolutions.
  • Manage customer inventory programs, forecasts, anticipated demand, and shipment releases as applicable.
  • Conduct regular account reviews and identify opportunities to improve service, communication, quality, and operational performance.
  • Identify opportunities to grow the account through new products, programs, locations, and other customer needs.
  • Travel to customer locations or Company facilities as needed.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in customer service, account management, project management, sales support, or a similar customer-facing role in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience in label printing, flexible packaging, commercial printing, or packaging is required.
  • Experience managing or supporting large, complex, multi-location, or strategic customer accounts preferred.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Project Management, Operations, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows and the ability to translate customer requirements into actionable production needs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management, organization, prioritization, and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, orders, deadlines, and changing priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive, ownership-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work effectively across departments and influence priorities without direct authority.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn ERP, CRM, estimating, artwork, and manufacturing systems.
What Success Looks Like

You will become a trusted resource for the customer by understanding their business, anticipating their needs, communicating proactively, and ensuring projects and commitments are completed accurately and on time. The right person for this role doesn't simply react to customer requests-they stay ahead of them, identify potential issues before they become problems, and bring the right internal resources together to deliver results.
