About the Role

Ready to make an impact in Life Sciences? As a Senior Account Manager, Global Congresses & Meetings, you'll help shape how Merck's Global Congress and Meetings programs come to life in a fast-paced, highly regulated, and collaboration-heavy environment. You'll be the go-to partner for stakeholders across the business across education, experience and engagement, guiding process, policy, communications, and planning with confidence and clarity. This is a great role for someone who loves connecting people, solving complex problems, and keeping high-visibility programs running smoothly.

You're Good At
  • Building strong relationships with global stakeholders and serving as a trusted point of contact in a structured, quality-focused environment
  • Turning complex process, policy, and program updates into clear communications, presentations, and training support
  • Managing multiple timelines and moving pieces while staying organized, detail-oriented, and deadline-driven
  • Partnering across teams to troubleshoot issues, improve processes, and drive consistency across congress and meetings activity
  • Using critical thinking, sound judgment, and a consultative approach to support planning and program effectiveness

Our Ideal Candidate Has
  • 3+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical meeting planning and congress management sector
  • 3+ years of experience in account management, specifically within pharmaceutical meetings managemen.
  • Experience supporting enterprise meetings programs and congress-related activity in a compliance-conscious setting
  • A background in stakeholder communications, education, or change management
  • Strong PowerPoint and Microsoft Office skills, plus experience working with global teams across many time zones

You Should Know
  • This role is hybrid for those located in northern the greater Philadelphia area (in office 1 day per week in West Point, PA). Candidates located outside of this area will be considered as well.
  • As this role supports global stakeholder, it will collaborate across multiple global time zones, but standard working hours will be Eastern Time.

Travel requirements for this role are as follows:25% to 50%

We carefully consider a wide range of compensation factors, including your professional background and experience. The salary range for candidates in applicable jurisdictions in the US for the position of Senior Account Manager, Global Congresses & Meetings is between $85,000 - $105,000, up to 125,000K for hybrid candidates located in the Philadelphia area. The actual pay depends on your skills, qualifications, experience, geographical location, and project budget.
