As a Senior Account Manager, you will lead strategic customer relationships within the Beauty Care category across North America. Working as part of a global commercial team, you will develop the global category strategy that will strengthen existing partnerships, identify new business opportunities, and provide fragrance solutions that create value for customers and the business. You Will Report To: Regional Account Manager
Responsibilities - Develop and lead Givaudan's strategic growth agenda for Global Beauty Care by driving senior-level customer engagement, accelerating innovation, strengthening proactive opportunity creation, and orchestrating cross-regional sharing across the commercial, development and perfumery teams.
- Operate within a matrix organization with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Worldwide Account Manager, ensuring alignment on category strategy, customer priorities, and growth initiatives.
- Develop a strategic account plan that supports sustainable business growth in assigned brands in North America.
- Be the primary commercial contact for assigned customer brands.
- Build strong relationships with customer decision-makers and partners.
- Identify new business opportunities while protecting and growing existing business.
- Lead fragrance development programs in collaboration with customer and cross-functional teams.
- Partner with Marketing, Consumer Insights, Creative Fragrance Management, Perfumery, Applications, Technology, Supply Chain, and Customer Care to provide customer solutions.
- Analyze customer strategies, market trends, competitive activity, and consumer insights to identify opportunities.
- Prepare and manage account plans, sales forecasts, budgets, and business reviews.
- Negotiate pricing and commercial agreements within company guidelines.
- Monitor sales performance, profitability, win rates, and key performance indicators, implementing corrective actions.
- Manage projects from customer brief through commercialization and product launch.
- Resolve customer concerns while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable environmental, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Your Professional Profile Includes - Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of professional experience, including experience in the fragrance, flavors, consumer packaged goods, or a related industry.
- Experience managing strategic customer accounts and delivering business growth.
- Knowledge of fragrances, fragranced consumer products, consumer trends, and market dynamics.
- Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects.
- Experience leading cross-functional projects in a global business environment.
- Negotiation, business planning, and account management capabilities.
- Analyze business performance and develop strategic account plans.
- Experience presenting business strategies and recommendations to customers and senior leadership.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Customer-focused mindset with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Experience with consumer insights, market research, or regulatory requirements.
Compensation and Benefits The established salary range for this position is $150,000-$180,000. Actual compensation will depend on individual qualifications. Medical, dental, and vision coverage and a high-matching 401(k) retirement plan.
