YOUR IMPACT

Join us as a Senior Account Executive on the OpenText Cybersecurity Team. In this role, you will target assigned accounts for our Cybersecurity product portfolio by representing our key pillars within: Application Security, Data Security and Data Privacy, Security Operations and Identity & Access Management. Senior Account Executives are product, services, software or solution specialists that are responsible for leading pursuit in their assigned focus areas and will have named accounts allocated within a designated geography. They collaborate with Solution Engineers, Product Leaders and Channel Organization to provide specialist expertise within the sales team. They drive proactive initiatives to generate pipeline through direct prospecting, networking, and BDR campaigns to build the pipeline of leads. The role uses specialized knowledge to build demand through use cases and qualify, negotiate, and close opportunities.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
  • Actively prospecting new greenfield accounts using modern prospecting techniques and utilizing available resources to generate a qualified pipeline.
  • Understanding the whitespace in a territory of accounts and promoting new product placements into all accounts.
  • Managing the sales process from solutions identification to solution delivery, ensuring successful product placements.
  • Building strong customer relationships and addressing customer requirements with an associated return on investment.
  • Leading customers through a buying process and challenging their thinking, applying the right resources and information.
  • Acting as a conduit to the product teams and GTM product leads to build an overall strategy for product reach in this account space.
  • Pursuing new clients, developing business, and networking with passion.
  • Creating strong business relationships and negotiating large enterprise software deals.


WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5+ years of successful software sales experience in a similar space/accounts with a proven track record.
  • Collaboration and the ability to navigate a matrixed organization.
  • Verifiable achievement of consistent quota attainment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to tell compelling customer stories that inspire change.

Compensation: At OpenText, we offer a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. As you move through the hiring process, we're happy to provide more details about our compensation programs, including variable and commission compensation opportunities for eligible roles, vacation entitlement, and paid time off.

Salary Range: $ -134,400 - $201,500 plus commission; Depending on the candidate's education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.

California Residents: The pay range above is a reasonable estimate of salary based on pay scale, candidate experience, skills, and education. In addition to the comprehensive benefits noted above, the role may be eligible for bonus or commissions.
