ROLE OVERVIEWAs a Senior Account Executive, you will drive new business and expand HealthVerity's footprint within Mid Cap and/or Emerging & Small pharmaceutical and biotech companies. This is a fast-paced, high-velocity sales role requiring someone who can quickly identify opportunities, build relationships with key stakeholders, and articulate how HealthVerity's data and technology solutions address commercial pharmaceutical challenges. You'll operate with urgency and precision - managing a high volume of accounts while maintaining the consultative depth needed to close complex data deals driven by end client business needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Generate revenue through prospecting, qualifying, and closing new business within the Mid Cap and/or Emerging & Small pharma segment
- Build, maintain, and manage a robust sales pipeline with consistent forecast accuracy to achieve individual revenue goals
- Develop and execute strategic account plans to deepen relationships, identify whitespace and expansion opportunities, and grow HealthVerity's footprint across existing Mid Cap and/or Emerging & Small pharma and biotech accounts
- Move deals through the sales cycle at pace - from initial outreach and discovery through proposal, negotiation, and close
- Operates independently in structuring and closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals with minimal oversight
- Position yourself as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on healthcare data, real-world evidence, and commercial analytics solutions
- Drive all stages of opportunity development including RFIs, RFPs, proposals, contract negotiations, and execution
- Lead product presentations, demonstrations, and technical discussions with executive stakeholders and end users within pharmaceutical companies
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Pre-Sales, Real World Data Solutions, Product, Marketing, and Strategy teams to develop tailored solutions for client challenges
- Mentor and support junior Account Executives by sharing sales best practices, deal strategies, and market insights to strengthen team performance and drive consistent execution
QUALIFICATIONSRequired- 8+ years of sales experience in healthcare data, analytics, SaaS, or life sciences technology
- Proven track record selling to Mid Cap and/or Emerging & Small pharmaceutical or biotech companies, preferably within commercial functions
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high-volume book of business while maintaining deal quality
- Strong knowledge of various healthcare data assets (claims, EHR, lab, consumer) and how they are used in commercial and research settings
- Ability to identify and understand a client's business strategy, pipeline priorities, and commercial objectives and then map solutions accordingly
- Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce), prospecting platforms (LinkedIn Navigator, Outreach), and sales forecasting
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in business, life sciences, or healthcare a plus
- Willingness to travel for conferences, client meetings, and industry events as needed
Base salary for the role is commensurate with experience and can range between $160,000 - 200,000 + incentive compensation plan.
Hiring LocationsOur main office is located in Center City, Philadelphia, where we operate on a hybrid model with in-office work required three days a week for local employees. We believe collaboration is most effective when teams come together, which is why we prioritize hiring in the Philadelphia area.
For certain roles, we also hire from
hub locations-regions where we have an established presence with multiple team members working remotely. While these employees primarily work from home, we bring them together in person at least once a year for team-building, collaboration, and strategic planning.
