More about the role:

Burson is looking for a Senior Account Director with a specialization in Influencer Marketing to join our team. This is a newly created role added as a result of continued growth across our influencer marketing offering and client portfolio.

At Burson, influencer marketing is a core piece of our business, and we are seeking someone who is as passionate about this world as we are.

We're looking for candidates that have a social-first mindset, are tapped into all things influencer marketing and have a deep knowledge of the lifestyle consumer brands that are making a mark with partnerships. The candidate should have demonstrated experience leading key accounts with a passion for client service excellence and day-to-day direct report team management and operations.

Here's what you'd be doing:
  • Manage end-to-end influencer strategy and execution helping us achieve maximum impact of the overarching brand story as key client lead on respective accounts
  • Collaborate on building annual influencer-first strategies, ideas, and frameworks for clients,
  • Manage large volume of influencer campaigns ensuring they are on budget, on time and on strategy with an error free project management mindset
  • Overseeing research, identification, negotiation and project management of influencer programs
  • Oversee development of compelling content for an array of brands with different audience considerations
  • Review & approve campaign reports by tracking and optimizing organic and paid influencer content, and analyzing to provide actionable insights and opportunities
  • Lead social media listening to ensure informed on trending content and audience behaviors to inform new partnerships, content opportunities, and social strategies
  • Keeping on top of emerging social trends, platforms, technologies, and influencers in the Canadian market
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key contacts within the influencer space on multiple levels and grow over time
  • In partnership with VP, Influencer Marketing, educate and share knowledge with teams on trends and best practices
  • Manage a team of direct reports at various levels by demonstrating exemplary work ethic and day-to-day providing counsel

What you'll need to get here:
  • 9-12 years' experience in PR & Influencer relations
  • 4-5 years' experience with direct reports
  • A strategic mindset and deep knowledge in the social media space, including the latest trends
  • Client service oriented, able to manage complex scopes of work, multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Proven ability to develop meaningful influencer relationships that result in authentic story-telling and drive measurable impact.
  • Deep understanding of metrics and insights from priority social platforms and other emerging channels for optimization, learnings and future plan recommendations
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Creative thinker and problem solver
