About The Role: A Senior Account Director is a seasoned agency leader who owns executive-level client partnerships, commercial strategy, and team growth. You will serve as a bridge between client C-suites and our internal creative, strategy, production, and media teams, driving revenue and ensuring client goals and creative visions are met across complex, multi-channel programs. You will be a champion of creator-led and influencer marketing, shaping strategies that leverage talent, UGC, and whitelisted creator content to drive measurable outcomes across social platforms.
Strategic Client Partnership
- Act as primary advisor to top-tier clients, translating business goals into clear strategies and measurable KPIs.
- Provide thought leadership on social-first, creator-led, and platform-native approaches; stay ahead of trends and paid/platform capabilities.
- Navigate sensitive client needs with composure; proactively de-risk issues and strengthen trust.
- Serve as the main link between brand and creators/talent managers; define influencer strategy and measurement frameworks.
Growth & Financial Management
- Drive organic growth via upsell/cross-sell; shape new scopes, pricing, and margin targets.
- Lead/co-lead pitches and RFPs using competitive analyses, case studies, and social playbooks.
- Package and price creator/influencer programs, performance-based models, and integrated talent + paid amplification + social commerce.
- Negotiate creator rates, usage, and licensing; own portfolio financial health (forecasting, resourcing, budgets, burn, margin) using Asana and Kantata; enforce scoping/change orders/contracts.
Team Leadership & Culture
- Lead, mentor, and motivate Account Directors/Managers/Executives; set clear expectations and growth plans; celebrate wins and coach through losses.
- Delegate effectively, empowering ownership while stepping in decisively when needed.
- Champion collaborative, cross-functional ways of working across creative, strategy, production, and media.
- Upskill teams on creator best practices (contracting/licensing, benchmarking, content feedback, disclosure compliance, paid whitelisting) and train on creator management platforms.
Delivery, Optimization & Operational Excellence
- Lead end-to-end creator campaigns from brief to reporting, including sourcing/vetting talent (micro to celebrity), timelines, briefs, content approvals, and daily comms with talent management.
- Oversee paid and organic social programs-including influencer strategies-on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube; track performance (e.g., engagement rates), ensure KPI attainment, ROI storytelling, and executive-ready reporting.
- Identify performance trends and run strategic optimizations; partner with talent managers/marketplaces/platforms to maximize distribution, whitelisting, and brand safety.
- Ensure efficient content workstreams and conflict resolution; model ATTN's values: Make It Smart, Make It Great, Make It Matter.
Qualifications- 10+ years in account management, marketing, or public relations within creative/advertising/media/PR agencies, with a proven record leading large or complex accounts.
- 5+ years leading creator/influencer programs at scale, including sourcing, negotiation, briefing, whitelisting/allowlisting, and content usage and licensing.
- 4+ years managing and mentoring teams with strong cross-functional leadership.
- Strong relationships with talent agencies, creator platforms, and influencer tech partners; fluency in affiliate/social commerce models and tracking.
- Deep, current expertise in social media across paid and organic; fluency in platform capabilities, influencer strategies, audience targeting, and social KPIs.
- Demonstrated business development success: upsell/cross-sell, leading pitches, SOW development, pricing, and negotiation.
- Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, resourcing, margin management; experience with Asana and Kantata or similar tools.
- Executive presence with excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; comfortable engaging C-suite stakeholders.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented problem solver who performs under pressure and anticipates challenges.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field; advanced degree a plus.
The salary range for this role is between $150,000-$185,000. Actual compensation is based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to demonstrated skill set, years and depth of relevant experience, and some role-dependent factors. We welcome direct conversations with each candidate about compensation in all of our initial calls.
LocationCandidates can be based in Los Angeles or New York. This is a hybrid role with 3 days expected to be on-site in one of our hubs.
