DAHER Aircraft Inc. is seeking an experienced
Senior A&P Mechanic to join our growing team at our Pompano Beach facility. This role is ideal for a highly skilled aviation maintenance professional with at least eight years of hands-on experience, ideally with turboprop aircraft such as the TBM and Kodiak series. The Senior A&P Mechanic will perform and oversee complex maintenance, repair, and inspection tasks on aircraft, engines, and components, ensuring compliance with all FAA and company standards.
Primary Role and Responsibilities:- Perform and lead advanced maintenance, repairs, and inspections in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer specifications (IPC, AMM, OHM, CMM, etc.)
- Serve as a technical expert and mentor to junior mechanics, providing guidance and oversight on maintenance procedures and best practices
- Must be able to teach and coach junior mechanics and work well in team settings
- Conduct detailed diagnostics and troubleshooting of airframe structures, powerplants, and aircraft systems
- Oversee and execute complex repairs and modifications, including component overhaul, system calibration, and structural repairs
- Ensure all maintenance documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with the Repair Station Manual and Quality Control Manual
- Able to properly document maintenance performed, and familiarization with logbook entries
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team and service management to resolve technical issues and streamline processes
- Maintain safe work practices and support continuous improvement initiatives across the maintenance operation
What you need to have:- FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certification required
- Inspection Authorization (IA) designation highly preferred
- [8] Eight or more years of progressive experience in aviation maintenance, with demonstrated expertise in turbine-powered aircraft; TBM or other turboprop experience strongly preferred
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, mechanical and avionics skills
- Able to work with minimal or no supervision
- Engine run and taxi experience preferred
- Advanced knowledge of aviation maintenance software and digital documentation tools required
- High school diploma or GED required; technical training or associate degree in aviation maintenance technology preferred
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and hold a valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
Information related to the position:- The compensation range starts at $48.00 per hour in base salary plus an annual target bonus. The offered salary is specific to each candidates skill level, the final offer depends on level of experience.
