Full Job Description
Overview

We are looking for an experienced systems engineer to provide acquisition support for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) for the Theater Mission Planning Center (TMPC) program. This role necessitates knowledge of systems engineering and software development processes, and will require full-time on-site presence at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD.

TravelUp to 15% Clearance

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Requirements

Must have at least 5 years9 experience:

  • Performing systems engineering, software development, or acquisition support for weapon systems
  • Drafting and reviewing contract language supporting acquisition of weapon systems
  • Providing technical inputs during engineering meetings (e.g. PDR, CDR, TRR, etc.)
Responsibilities
  • Apply systems engineering processes to the analysis, development, testing, deployment, and sustainment of TMPC mission planning software and technical documentation for the Tomahawk missile system for FMS programs.
  • Coordinate closely with the Foreign Disclosure Office (FDO) to ensure that software and technical documentation is appropriately sanitized and properly documented for FDO release approval to partner FMS countries.
  • Review, analyze, and document TMPC emerging requirements.
  • Review, analyze, and document TMPC software defects.
  • Lead working groups to address engineering and technical challenges that require analysis of alternatives.
  • Provide technical input for project plans, schedules, roadmaps, and cost estimates.
  • Review vendor-produced Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models and contribute to MBSE descriptions of the system.
  • Coordinate with test and evaluation activities for assessment of TMPC
  • Conduct technical Risk Management and tracking.
  • Assist with vendor tasking, guidance, and oversight in the development of technical SOWs, participation with TIMs, PMRs, and review of CDRLs.
  • Participate in the development of strategies to apply Agile development practices to TMPC FMS.
  • Advise and assist NAVAIR executives, managers, and supervisors in the planning and implementation of systems engineering and digital engineering policy and guidance.
Preferred Skills and Experience
  • Experience with Systems Software, Systems-of-Systems engineering, model-based systems engineering, or weapon systems safety & reliability.
  • Experience supporting FMS programs including coordinating with the Foreign Disclosure Office to ensure that software and technical documentation is appropriately sanitized
  • Knowledge of Ada and C++ coding languages.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of contracting and proposal development processes.
EducationBS in a technical discipline preferred Compensation

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate9s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.

The projected annual compensation range for this position is $100,000.00 -$147,000.00(USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
