Security Task Lead

Position Overview

The STL will provide overall management, leadership, and oversight of all contractor and subcontractor personnel supporting security operations under the contract. This role serves as the primary interface between the Government and contractor team, ensuring all security-related requirements are executed in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The STL will apply industry best practices, security management methodologies, and performance monitoring processes to oversee task execution, track requirements, facilitate communication, maintain operational effectiveness, and proactively identify programmatic, contractual, and resource risks.

Required Qualifications
  • Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) required.
  • Three (3) years of experience within the last ten (10) years managing a security program of similar size, scope, and complexity.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Department of War or Intelligence Community security programs. Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in classified environments and implementing continuous process improvement initiatives. Other CDSE SPēD certifications such as SAPPC, SPIPC, PSC, etc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for security-related contract performance and operational execution.
  • Personnel security processing (SF-86, NBIS, DISS, NISS, e-App)
  • Physical security (inspections, access control, cameras and alarms, visitor control)
  • SCIF operations
  • Industrial, information, OPSEC and CUI security programs
  • Security training
  • Ensure all tasks and deliverables are executed in accordance with the PWS and Government requirements.
  • Facilitate communication between Government stakeholders and contractor personnel.
  • Develop and maintain processes to track requirements, activities, performance metrics, and deliverables.
  • Monitor program performance to ensure quality, efficiency, and mission success.
  • Assist the Government with financial and business process support activities as permitted under the contract.
  • Identify potential contractual, operational, staffing, and resource limitations and communicate mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare reports, status updates, briefings, and documentation for Government review.
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities and ensure alignment with contract objectives.
  • Exercise authority to make decisions on behalf of the contractor organization regarding contract performance matters.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable security policies, procedures, and contractual requirements.
