Overview

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is hiring aSecurity Specialistto supportSpecial Access Programs (SAP). This senior-level role is responsible for protecting highly sensitive information and ensuring compliance with government and company security requirements.

Direct experience supporting Special Access Programs (SAP) is required for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Implement, monitor, and maintain security procedures for Special Access Programs.
  • Create, update, and enforce SAP standard operating procedures and related documentation.
  • Conduct security briefings, debriefings, and recurring training for assigned personnel and approved visitors.
  • Manage access control and visitor processing for SAP spaces, including badging and entry authorization.
  • Prepare, send, receive, and verify visit certifications, clearances, and access approvals.
  • Receive, distribute, inventory, reproduce, and destroy classified materials in accordance with applicable security requirements.
  • Perform audits and inspections to ensure compliance with DoD, NISPOM, ICD, and company security policies.
  • Inspect facilities for compliance with physical security standards and recommend corrective actions when needed.
  • Partner with government customers, program leadership, and internal teams on SAP security matters.
  • Support incident response and reporting for security violations, spills, and related security events.
  • Maintain accurate records for personnel security, visit requests, access logs, and SAP documentation.
  • Provide guidance to junior team members and help strengthen security program processes
Qualifications

Pay Transparency StatementAMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $120,000.00/Yr. - USD $145,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
