OverviewSecurity Specialist (Registry) provides security administration, registry, and document control support within an executive-level DoD SAP and SCI environment. This role supports the Department of the Navy Special Access Programs Central Office at the Pentagon and is responsible for classified material accountability, access control, visitor processing, and SAPF/SCIF security operations in accordance with applicable government security requirements. Responsibilities
- Performregistry, document control, visitor control, and access controlfunctions forSAPF and SCIFspaces.
- Review and verify personnel security clearances andSAP/SCI accessesfor incoming visitors and attendee lists using government-approved systems.
- Prepare and transmitcollateral, SAP, and SCI visit notifications and certifications.
- Support the Government security team and CPSO with:
- physical security
- facility access control
- entry/exit inspection procedures
- office opening and closing procedures
- personnel security training, as required
- Manage security containers within the SAPF and SCIF, including:
- changing combinations when required
- maintaining required security documentation
- updatingSF 700, SF 701, and SF 702
- Ensure properreceipt, control, accountability, storage, logging, routing, transfer, inventory, and authorized destructionof classified collateral, SAP, and SCI materials.
- Maintainchain of custody, audit-ready records, and complete document control files.
- Supportinternal reviews, self-assessments, and government inspections.
- Support conference room operations, document reviews, and authorized nonresident personnel use.
- Draft, update, and maintaindocument control SOPs, security procedures, and office guidance.
- Perform duties associated withTop Secret control.
- When designated, supportCOMSEC material custodian responsibilitiesin accordance with approved procedures.
- Coordinate effectively withgovernment personnel, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Prepare briefings, reports, SOPs, and official correspondence.
- Work independently and professionally in afast-paced classified environment.
Qualifications
- Active Top Secret clearancewithSCI eligibility.
- Ability to meet any applicableSpecial Access Program (SAP)eligibility requirements identified by the Government.
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university inmanagement, security administration, a technical discipline, or a related field; additional directly relevant specialized and/or military experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- 3+ years of directly relevant experiencesupporting security administration, registry, and document control incollateral, SAP, and SCI environments.

- Knowledge ofcollateral, SAP, and SCI security administration procedures, records management, and accountability requirements for sensitive and classified information.
- Experience supportingSAPF and SCIF operations, including facility access control, security container management, and required security forms/records.
- Proficiency withMicrosoft OfficeandSharePoint.
- Strongorganizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Pay Transparency StatementAMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $95,000.00/Yr. - USD $115,000/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
