Xcelerate Solutions is seeking a Security Policy Analyst who is responsible for examining and evaluating existing security policies, proposing improvements based on up-to-date DoW requirements, and ensuring compliance with regulations. They work closely with stakeholders to revise current Agency policies that enhance organizational security and mitigate risks.
A security policy analyst plays a crucial role in enhancing organizational security by evaluating and maintaining Agency security policies for accuracy and compliance. Their work involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and to propose improvements to existing policies . Conduct Government Purchase Card (GPC) Market Research; correspond with vendors to request and receive quotes. Compile GPC Packets for Program Manager review and submittal. Route packets to management analyst for signature.

Responsibilities :
- Act as the Team Lead for X other support staff; review internal task tracking systems and distribute taskings when appropriate
- Provide administrative support to Program Managers and/or their designated Action Officers from task reception through completion
- Develop correspondence packages for Agency-wide taskings and formal coordination of communications, both internal and external to security
- Review internal and external standard memorandums for security requirements and distribute to the appropriate Program Manager or representative
- Synthesize policy and other directives into talking points, using the Security office strategic plan as a guide.
- Provide policy revision and maintenance support, including review of government policies and related documents to maintain working familiarity with security-related policy
- Review assessment packets for accuracy and completeness prior to dissemination
- Review subordinates' work for accuracy and completeness before submission to the government
- Conduct Government Purchase Card (GPC) market research; correspond with vendors to request and receive quotes
- Compile GPC packets for Program Manager review and submittal; route packets to the Management Analyst for signature
- Act as Action Officer for security projects, providing status updates to the Program Manager and Security Director as necessary
- Attend routine meetings and provide status updates on internal and external taskings, projects, and other assigned tasks
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Political Science, Public Policy, Security Studies, Criminal Justice, or a related discipline). Equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in policy analysis, with a focus on security, regulatory compliance, or government/DoW policy environments.
- Active/eligible for Secret/Top Secret clearance required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft formal correspondence, memorandums, and policy documents for both internal and external audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to review, assess, and interpret complex policies and regulatory requirements, and to evaluate their operational and organizational impact. Detail oriented in editing and proofing policy documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internal task tracking/document management systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent taskings with competing deadlines; experience acting as an Action Officer or liaison for cross-functional projects a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting a DoW or other federal/Agency security program
- Familiarity with federal security compliance frameworks (e.g., NISPOM, ICD series, DoD 5200-series issuances, or equivalent Agency-specific directives)
- Experience with Government Purchase Card (GPC) procedures and market research processes
- Prior experience acting as an Action Officer or in a similar liaison/coordination role
- Experience reviewing or drafting formal government correspondence (memorandums, tasking packages, coordination documents)
- Experience supervising or reviewing the work product of junior analysts
