Location: Hurlburt Field, FL, JBSA, TX, and Keesler AFB, MS

Job Status: Full time 

Clearance: Top Secret

 

Astrion has an exciting opportunity coming up for a Security Manager to join our team and support the 39th Information Operations Squadron (39 IOS) located at Hurlburt Field, FL.

 

We are preparing to hire for Journeyman, Senior, and SME levels. We anticipate a start date in March/April 2026.

 

Cyber Operations Formal Training Support III (CyOFTS III) is a Cyber Schoolhouse program supporting delivery, development, and sustainment of cyber training across operationally relevant mission sets. The team supports instruction, curriculum and content development, training operations, and program execution at multiple Air Force and joint training locations. 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS 

  • Active Top secret clearance 
  • Education and experience will depend on the labor category level.
    • Previous DISS experience is required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform security management duties consistent with the labor category experience requirements.
  • Apply Defense Information for System Security (DISS) experience to support security processes as applicable.
  • Apply classification markings experience to support documentation and security processes as applicable.
  • You will serve as the Contract Special Security Representative (CSSR) whose primary function is to implement, develop and sustain multi-disciplined security support to a customer's personnel and facilities. The position is responsible for "day-to-day" Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities support.
  • You will have working knowledge and experience conducting classification reviews of official government records prior to publishment or addition to official files; reproduction support for classified materials; processing inbound and outbound classified mail and receipt records
  • You will be familiar maintaining document accountability databases, associated correspondence and manage magnetic media for accountability; sustain various daily logs for a variety of administrative functions associated with document control.
  • You will be proficient processing inbound and outbound security file transfers, security clearance indoctrinations/debriefings, generating and/or updating Fixed Facility Checklists and TEMPEST Addendums.
  • You will be fluent in researching, processing, filing, and maintaining inbound and outbound visit notices; issue and account for entry credentials; escort facility visitors and assist in the preparation of facility access control badges.
  • You will be proficient in conducting entry and exit inspections; assisting in the maintenance of facility access control entry systems, to include visitor control.
  • You will have a working knowledge and experience performing data entry to the Defense Information System for Security (DISS) and subsequent systems; retrieve/process Supplemental Information Requests (SIR), Requests For Action (RFA) and Customer Service Request (CSR).
  • You will be capable of generating, implementing and enforcement of Standard Operating Procedures; employment of a security education, training and awareness program; conducting miscellaneous administrative support functions.
  • You will when required, act as site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative; review, track, and monitor security clearance processing activities with appropriate government personnel to achieve appropriate clearance actions.
  • You will have working knowledge of how to transport classified material via mail services, and/or courier programs. Additionally, prepare and/or process classified packages for inbound and outbound shipping via mail services.
  • You will have an aptitude for performing data entry and record checks in the Defense Information for System Security (DISS) and maintains all customer sponsored personnel access information current; and perform indoctrinations.
  • You will participate in Air Force SAP security compliance inspections of government organization and industry; implement Top Secret Control for accountable material and associated correspondence.
  • You will be proficient in preparing, processing, and/or reviewing Program Access Request (PARs) for accuracy and access eligibility; execute Special Access Program Nomination Process Questionnaires.
  • You will have experience identifying security clearance requirements against unit manning authorizations, conducting National Background Investigations Services (NBIS) processing or subsequent system, and SAPNP reviews of candidates being submitted for SCI access.
  • You will maintain a working relationship with Unit Registrar and Course Support personnel to ensure standardized student enrollment, in/out processing and provide daily security support.
