ImpactShipt is is seeking a Security Engineer to join our our Network and Endpoint Security team. This team plays a crucial role in securing Shipt's applications, endpoints, and cloud infrastructure as well as assisting engineering teams in implementing cybersecurity best practices.
In this role, you will design, maintain, and secure endpoint and network architectures while building tailored security automations and tools to optimize detection and response capabilities. You will implement engineering best practices, help resolve production-level security matters, and ensure technical documentation remains thorough and up to date. Additionally, you will participate in collaborative design reviews, provide mentorship to colleagues, and align with the latest compliance and industry standards to reinforce Shipt's growing infrastructure.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful
- Security Architecture: 3+ years of network or endpoint security architecture and administration experience.
- IT Foundation: Prior experience in IT roles, such as network or systems administration, before specializing in security.
- MacOS & Documentation: Experience with macOS endpoint management and security in an enterprise environment, as well as creating detailed documentation and architectural diagrams.
- Endpoint Security Tools: Experience with endpoint security technologies such as EDR, Privileged Access Management, and DLP.
Required:
- Experience automating reporting and other tasks using security tool APIs and/or scripting with Python, JavaScript, Go, or Bash
- Experience with a broad range of technologies, operating systems, and networking concepts
- Strong fundamentals: knowledge of networks, compute architectures, and technology stacks
- Experience working with SIEM platforms and log analysis tools
- Foundational knowledge of responsible use of AI and LLMs in Security
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks like NIST CSF, PCI, SOC2, HIPAA, etc
Pay Range: $65,000 - $110,000

Hybrid roles in San Francisco, CA typically work in-office at least 1 day per week between Monday and Thursday.
