Work Arrangement: HybridClearance: Background CheckStart Date: Based on Contract AwardWe are seeking a Security Director to lead a cybersecurity team in support of a state agency. The Security Director has overall accountability for SecOps security, tracking, and reporting on current and emerging threats and trends to address current and planned for future threats to Services. The position will also provide security expertise with regard to security policy input, and security procedure development.
The Security Director will:
- Work with the leadership to address current and planned for future threats to Services
- implement and maintain continuous monitoring mechanisms to detect new vulnerabilities and emerging threats in Real-Time
- Establish a cadence for scanning devices and subnets for known vulnerabilities ensuring the routine is sufficient to protect the DIR environment and increasing the cadence where practical
- Proactively identify and analyze security threats in the environment, through the use of log monitoring, event monitoring, other types of device monitoring, and proactive hunting
- Recommend actions that leadership and customers should take to address these emerging threats
- Oversee the digital forensics incident response within the organization
- Collaborate with leadership while using industry security best practices to provide ongoing insight and alignment of emerging technologies consistent within program and governmental security requirements
Minimum requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree in information technology, computer science, or a degree in a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 12 years of experience of progressive IT/Cyber experience.
- Possess applicable industry certifications such as CISSP or CISM.
- Must be able authorizied to work in the US without sponsorship and be able to successfully pass a background check
