Full Job Description
Marathon TS is looking for a Security Controls Assessor to support our efforts:
  • Successfully conduct security control assessments independently and with little to no guidance, as part of annual security requirements and debrief customers on findings / recommendations.
  • Actively participate in customer and internal meetings discussing project status, risks, issues and opportunities.
  • Design, develop, engineer and implement solutions to MLS requirements.
  • Perform complex risk analyses which also include risk assessment.
  • Establish and satisfy information assurance and security requirements based upon the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands.
  • Support customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of doctrine and policies.
  • Apply know-how to government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures.
  • Perform analysis, design and development of security features for system architectures.
  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of implemented controls and control enhancements to determine the effectiveness of the controls.
  • Develop and implement security related directives and guidance for Information Assurance, Information Technology, and Information Management.
  • Coordinate A&A activities of multiple stakeholders to meet audit and compliance requirements.
  • Understand in depth information technology systems, software, and networks.
  • Write technical reports and general correspondence clearly and concisely with accuracy.
  • Simultaneously manage and track multiple large-scale systems or programs involved in the A&A processes.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Ten (10) years of experience in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Five (5) or more years of hands-on experience supporting Federal Cyber Security Assessment & Authorization and Risk Management Framework programs.
  • CISSP or similar level industry recognized certification strongly preferred.
  • Meet with our team in Washington D.C. at least 2 days a week.
