Job Description
We are on an exciting journey to improve the quality, control, and accessibility of our risk and business data to enable timely, well-informed financial risk decisions across Market, Interest Rate, Credit, and Liquidity risk. This role is ideal for candidates with 2+ years of banking experience in key financial risk environments who are curious, organized, and comfortable partnering with stakeholders. The selected candidate will help ensure that financial risk data is clearly defined, understood, and used consistently across the organization. They will partner with stakeholders across respective risk stripes to document data meaning, ownership, and controls; identify data quality issues or risks; and support improvements to data quality and transparency for financial risk processes and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with financial risk business teams to understand how risk is managed and consumed
Help document and clarify financial risk data definitions, business rules, and ownership
Support data quality and issue management activities
Ask thoughtful questions to identify gaps, inconsistencies, control breaks, or unclear financial risk processes
Assist in preparing clear summaries, presentations, and documentation for business teams and leadership audiences (e.g., data issue themes, operational impacts, and remediation status)
Learn and apply data governance standards, policies, and best practices
What We 27re Looking For
We are looking for candidates with 2+ years of experience in the banking industry, within market risk, interest rate risk, credit risk, and/or liquidity risk functions. Candidates should be comfortable working with business stakeholders to define requirements, document processes, and support issue remediation that improves data quality and controls.
Key Skills (More Important Than Experience):
Strong written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain financial risk concepts and data requirements clearly
Curiosity and willingness to ask questions to validate assumptions, reconcile variances, and surface risk data issues early
Experience across key financial risk areas (e.g., value at risk and limit monitoring, risk reporting, or stress testing/scenario analysis, repricing dates, index, margin/spread, balances, cashflow schedules, etc.)
Ability to organize and document complex information (policies, procedures, data definitions, and controls) with strong attention to detail
Comfort presenting concise updates (issues, impacts, decisions needed) to small groups and senior stakeholders
Ability to work with different teams and perspectives
Helpful (But Not Required):
Exposure to data governance
Data analysis experience including intermediate skills with MS Excel

Not a developer or engineering role
Not a reporting or dashboard building role
No coding, advanced SQL or technical skills required
EDUCATION
Bachelor 27s degree in business, finance, or related field or equivalent work experience
Education:
Bachelor 27s degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience

The typical base pay range for this role is as follows:
New York / New Jersey: $ 94-126K
Non 6New York / New Jersey: $ 80-123K
depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
