ACTIVE SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE TS/SCI POLYGRAPH LEVEL IS REQUIRED
We are seeking a communicative, mission-driven Systems Engineer / Project Manager to join the TKO program in support of the Data Transformation Solutions (DTS) initiative. In this high-impact role, you will bridge the gap between technical execution and tactical mission needs-eliciting complex requirements, structuring deliverables, and building roadmaps for end-to-end data flows and standard data model transformations. You will serve as a key relationship builder with external partners and military cryptologic teams, ensuring tactical data architecture seamlessly supports analysts and operators in an Agile development environment.
The annual base salary range for this role is $165,000-$196,000 (USD) , which does not include discretionary bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.
Required Skills
Stakeholder & Relationship Building: Proven ability to form strong relationships with customers and mission partners, proactively engaging external stakeholders to understand user needs and data requirements.
Complex Data Flow Analysis: Strong critical-thinking capabilities to deconstruct complex data flow challenges, establish clear scope, and break efforts down into manageable, actionable development tasks.
Agile Tooling & Roadmapping: Hands-on experience using Atlassian products (Jira and Confluence) to document artifacts, track deliverables, and manage implementation schedules.
Data Processing & Architecture: Solid understanding of data processing capabilities, system-to-system connection mechanisms, and data flow architecture.
NiFi Fundamentals: Working knowledge or basic exposure to Apache NiFi, including flow file attributes and automated data routing concepts.
Tactical SIGINT Expertise: Background in SIGINT collection and analysis, alongside experience working with Military Cryptologic Offices, tactical collection capabilities, and related data flows.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline, paired with relevant full-lifecycle software development experience (or equivalent combination of education and hands-on professional experience) PLUS 10+ years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity OR High School Diploma / GED, PLUS 14+ years of specialized technical experience in lieu of a degree.
Desired Skills
Electronic Warfare & Signals: Experience with Electronic Warfare (EW) operations, sensors, tactical datalinks, and command-and-control (C2) signals.
Data Formats & Parsing: Familiarity with structured and semi-structured data formats, including CSV, JSON, PCAP, and XML.
DoD & IC Domain Knowledge: Practical experience supporting the Intelligence Community, DoD Service Intelligence Centers (such as NASIC), and a strong understanding of DoD command structures and relationships.
