About the job you're considering
We are looking for a high-performing SDET / Automation Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in API & UI automation using Pytest and Playwright. This role is ideal for professionals with 2-5 years of experience who can actively contribute to Agile delivery, client interactions, and end-to-end quality engineering.
You will work closely with client stakeholders and offshore teams, driving automation, improving quality, and ensuring seamless delivery within fast-paced Agile environments.
Your role
- Develop and execute API & UI automation scripts using Pytest and Playwright
- Participate actively in Agile Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Refinement, Stand-ups, Retrospectives)
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA teams to ensure quality within sprint timelines
- Analyze automation failures, perform root cause analysis, and improve script stability
- Work closely with client stakeholders to provide updates, clarify requirements, and address quality concerns
- Coordinate with offshore teams to ensure smooth execution, defect tracking, and delivery alignment
- Manage defects, test cases, and workflows using Jira, ensuring accurate reporting and visibility
Your skills and experience
- 2-5 years of experience in QA / Test Automation with strong hands-on capabilities
- Exposure to GenAI tools
- Solid experience in API & UI Automation using Pytest and Playwright (or similar modern frameworks)
- Strong programming skills in Python or Java with ability to build and enhance automation scripts
- Good understanding of automation frameworks, testing concepts, and functional testing types
- Hands-on experience working in Agile / Scrum environments with active participation in ceremonies
- Proven exposure to client interaction and stakeholder communication
- Experience working in onshore-offshore delivery models with strong coordination skills
The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $53,580 - $122,400.
