Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks using Playwright, Selenium WebDriver, PyTest, Appium, TestNG, and JUnit
• Build and execute end-to-end, functional, integration, regression, and cross-browser test suites for web, mobile, and backend applications
• Develop automated API validation solutions for REST services and backend integrations
• Design reusable automation components using Page Object Model (POM), data-driven testing, and industry best practices
• Perform mobile automation testing across Android and iOS platforms using Appium with emulator and real-device environments
• Validate Databricks data pipelines, ETL processes, and data transformation workflows to ensure data quality and integrity
• Execute SQL-based data validation, data reconciliation, and data warehouse testing activities
• Collaborate with software engineers to review requirements, architecture, and user stories while identifying quality risks early in the development lifecycle
• Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, Maven, Gradle, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Analyze test failures, investigate root causes, and provide actionable recommendations to engineering teams
• Leverage AI-powered tools such as GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT to enhance test coverage, improve productivity, and accelerate automation development
• Maintain test metrics, dashboards, execution reports, and quality documentation
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, automation strategy development, and testing best practices
• Communicate effectively with technical and business stakeholders regarding quality status, risks, and release readiness
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related technical field
• 5+ years of experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) or QA Automation Engineer
• Strong programming skills in: • Java • TypeScript • Python • JavaScript • SQL
• Hands-on experience with automation technologies such as: • Playwright (TypeScript) • Selenium WebDriver • PyTest • Appium • TestNG • JUnit
• Solid understanding of web, API, mobile, and backend testing methodologies
• Experience building and maintaining enterprise-scale automation frameworks
• Strong knowledge of REST API testing and integration validation
• Experience validating Databricks pipelines, ETL processes, and data warehouse environments
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation and automation testing integration
• Experience working within Agile and Scrum development environments
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Bonus Qualifications:
- Experience with Azure DevOps and cloud-based testing environments
- Experience implementing Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD)
- Exposure to performance and load testing tools and methodologies
- Experience with Docker containerization and Kubernetes orchestration
- Knowledge of NoSQL database technologies
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted tools such as GitHub Copilot and ChatGPT for automation development and quality engineering productivity
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications and data modernization initiatives
The pay range for this role is $120,000 - $122,000* per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
