Full Job Description
Everforth ECS is seeking a ScrumMaster to work in our Fairfax, VA office in a hybrid capacity.

This position is primarily responsible for supporting centralized SUNet Cyber Infrastructure administration and coordination initiatives while championing Agile best practices across the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Serve as the ScrumMaster for one or more Agile development teams, ensuring Scrum principles, SAFe practices, and Agile methodologies are consistently understood, adopted, and followed.
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, Release Planning, and Program Increment (PI) Planning.
  • Partner with Product Owners, Agile Coaches, and stakeholders to define, refine, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and sprint priorities.
  • Champion Agile best practices and coach teams to foster collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and a high-performing Agile culture.
  • Act as a servant leader by removing impediments, resolving conflicts, managing dependencies, and enabling teams to successfully deliver sprint and program objectives.
  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to elicit, analyze, document, and validate requirements, translating business needs into actionable user stories and backlog items.
  • Manage Jira, Confluence, and other Agile tools to maintain sprint and product backlogs, track work, and provide transparency into team progress.
  • Develop, monitor, and communicate Agile metrics, dashboards, sprint velocity, burndown charts, release status, and other delivery metrics to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate:
    • Multiple application development efforts and cross-functional initiatives within a fast-paced DevSecOps environment.
    • Maintenance Window activities, ticket management, change implementation, and post-maintenance reporting.
  • Track and manage risks, issues, dependencies, action items, and blockers, proactively driving them to resolution.
  • Support:
    • The planning, coordination, and implementation of new capabilities that enhance mission assurance and operational management functions.
    • Daily operational activities for SUNet leadership and technical teams through cross-functional coordination and collaboration across matrixed organizations.
  • Prepare executive briefings, status reports, presentations, and communications for program leadership and Government stakeholders.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings by preparing agendas, documenting decisions, capturing meeting minutes, tracking action items, and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Assist project and program managers with planning, scheduling, milestone tracking, documentation, quality reviews, and overall project execution.
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process documentation, knowledge management artifacts, and other program documentation.
  • Build strong partnerships across engineering, cybersecurity, infrastructure, program management, and customer organizations to ensure priorities remain aligned and mission objectives are achieved.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Note: Salary is commensurate with skillset, qualifications, experience, and educational background.

Salary Range: $140,000-160,000

  • Working knowledge of Agile principles and Scrum framework with experience facilitating Agile ceremonies.
  • Demonstrated leadership and facilitation skills with the ability to influence teams and drive collaboration without direct supervisory authority.
  • Exceptional organizational and coordination skills with experience managing multiple meetings, priorities, and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
