Full Job Description
Job Overview:

The AVP, Scrum Master is responsible for providing program management support to application development teams. This role supports the following:
  • Demand & Delivery Management
  • Quality Management
  • Reporting
  • Financial Management
  • Benefits Management
  • Governance of processes, standards, etc.


Responsibilities:
  • Facilitates and drives the team through the agile ceremonies -foster a Lean-Agile leadership including (PI Planning at the team level, Iteration Planning, Standup, Retro, Inspect and Adapt Workshop, Iteration Review and Demo).
  • Release Planning and Execution - Releases to production, being able to provide dates and the important artifacts. Work with Release Management and submit Change tickets for the team(s) to closure.
  • Ensure agreement and transparency across team including up to the RTE.
  • Ensure JIRA is accurate and updated as required per Iteration.
  • Capacity vs Load - What is the teams available capacity (considering holidays, vacations, and etc.) vs how much customer demand. Hours versus hours
  • Performs PI Planning prep & execution for the team.
  • Ensures weekly, monthly and iteration reports are produced as required/requested for the team from the organization standards perspective.
  • Progress of PI Objectives - Demonstrate how much work in progress and in backlog. Priority and dependencies.
  • Commit to Complete Ratio (not all teams are at the level of maturity)
  • Velocity - In an Agile environment, for a 2-week sprint, how much work was committed and how much work was completed. This is measured in points.
  • Backlog Revisions (meet definition of ready?) and Health (this is a product metric that some Scrum Masters review to ensure they have work planned for future iterations)
  • Arbitrate and resolve conflict within the team when necessary. Understand appropriate paths and methods for escalation
  • Provide leadership to fellow project managers/scrum masters, create a positive team environment, and provide direction in ambiguous situations
  • Be proactive and exercise initiative in identifying, tracking, and removing impediments to program success.
  • Understand how individual projects affect the program & portfolio and exercise judgement in raising issues and risks to the program/portfolio level

Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience managing the development team's project and maintenance activities from initiation to production support.
  • 4+ years of experience working collaboratively with Development teams, EA, QA, Release Management and Infrastructure teams to resolve technical requirements.
  • 4+ years of experience providing regular written and verbal communication to various audiences throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • 4+ years experience and ability to manage Project and Software Development Life Cycle(s) using Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • 4+ years working knowledge of JIRA, Confluence or similar tools


Preferences:

  • 4 year college degree, preferably in Project Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Communications or related technical field
  • Experience communicating and collaborating with various business units in regard to project and maintenance efforts.
  • Comfortable exercising judgment and using analytical skills in ambiguous situations
  • Outstanding attention to detail combined with the ability to see the big picture
  • Clear, effective verbal and written communication skills including the ability to actively listen, problem solve, and communicate effectively with both technical and business users
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to a changing environment; proactive in seeking out information when necessary
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project or similar tools


Pay Range:
$112,682.00 - $187,872.00
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
