This position is onsite at Bell's Assembly Center in Amarillo, TX, which is close to the airport.

Supply Chain Procurement Senior Professional

Bring your experience and ideas and help us ensure timely delivery of supplies and materials. You'll be the key interface for subcontract administration of major systems and complex components for aircraft production, product upgrade and new program development.

You will work closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to facilitate cost reduction initiatives that enhance the overall affordability and quality of our aircraft. This role will be an integral part of the team, working closely with customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and all organizations across Bell.

What you'll be doing as a Supply Chain Procurement Senior Professional
• Responsible for executing standard purchasing procedures within an assigned commodity or supplier(s) to ensure the timely delivery of supplies and materials.
• Responsible for negotiations, supplier data, cost break downs, and cross functional work with many departments such as strategic supply chain, quality, engineering, and manufacturing.
• Utilize discretionary latitude within approved purchasing procedures and compliance for all contractual obligations regarding Bell Helicopter and Supplier obligations.
• Responsible for Interaction and communication with various internal customers.
• Obtain and furnish supplier data to other functional disciplines and SCM / IPT (Integrated Product Team) management.
• Maintain and manage an open order report for each supplier.
• Negotiate complex subcontracts, financial terms, contractual terms, technical terms, and conditions with major suppliers.
• You will work closely with Engineering, Quality and Operations to facilitate cost reduction initiatives that enhance the overall affordability and quality of our aircraft.
• New supplier addition / management
• Responsible for purchase order management, competitive pricing adherence, inventory analysis, new supplier qualification.
• Responsible for negotiation of long-term agreements and contract packages exceeding TINA.
• Collaborate cross- functionally with quality, engineering, program, finance, and other support teams to drive process improvement.
• Proactively reach out to peers to understand challenges and provide guidance/mentorship.
• Monitor supply base risks; identifying areas of improvement and implementing strategies to proactively reduce risks.
• Considered a subject matter expert for all basic SCM purchasing activities capable of training members of a cross-functional team.
• Additionally, may be asked to be the special project lead / product assurance key communication conduit.

Skills You Bring To This Role:
• Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management and/or contract experience, financial analysis, cost analysis of commodity/raw materials, understanding of direct/indirect commodity pricing
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Understanding of FAR/DFAR guidelines
• Must be a highly analytical thinker: i.e. has strong ability to systematically study and learn somewhat complex information.
• Must be willing to ask questions, perform research. The candidate should be someone who continually increases learning in areas of complexity within government contracting and procurement.
• A positive-can do attitude. Must be self-motivated to find answers and solutions.
• Requires excellent writing, presentation, and communication skills.
• We are looking for inquisitive and driven personnel who have a passion for military and aerospace companies.
• Ability to travel up to 25% a year or as business needs dictate.
