Full Job Description
The Scientist has a key role in supporting crop protection pesticide formulations projects, customer support, and manufacturing development. To define and carry out projects & experimental programs to ensure the transfer of project results to external customers, and to develop new product opportunities to enable the Company to grow the business and enhance its industry leadership position.
We count on you for:
• Execute collaborative R&D programs with global Ag team members; respond to evolving customer needs
• Develop and optimize agrochemical formulations (incl. synthetic pesticide products, biologicals, etc.)
• Design and run application performance testing for new formulations and customer-specific requirements
• Record, analyze, and document experimental work in ELN per Syensqo policies
• Write technical reports; contribute to/support technical IP and patent activities
• Drive technology transfer to the business and support successful new product launches (project management)
• Provide technical advice and support to internal stakeholders and external customers
• Provide day-to-day guidance to interns/co-ops/temps
• Maintain lab organization, cleanliness, and proper waste disposal practices
• Adhere and follow Company safety policies and procedures for the site and the lab.
You will bring:
• B.S. in chemistry or related field, M.S. desirable.
• 1+ years of experience in relevant field
• Knowledge of surfactants and agriculture product portfolio would be a plus
• Design of experiments and Project Management for execution of research projects is a plus
• Adaptability to change as per customer requirements and business priorities
• Efficient communication with stakeholders

You will get:

• The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $81,000.00 to $123,000.00 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.

Additional information:
• Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods while performing laboratory procedures/tasks.
• Lifting and carrying materials up to 50 lbs may be required.
• Labwork may require use of specialized PPE such as respirators, safe handling of biologicals or pesticides.
