- This position is fully on-site in Champaign, IL. This is not a remote position. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
- Willing to work weekend hours when necessary.
- No travel is involved for this position.
- Candidate must be authorized to work in the US. No sponsorship is available for this position.
- Compensation: $85,000 - $105,000 annually, commensurate with experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k), paid time off (PTO), and paid sick days.
Requirements - Degree: PhD in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Molecular Genetics or related field. Candidates with anticipated degree completion in August 2026 may apply
- Years Experience: 0-3 years post-PhD experience
Responsibilities - PCR, RT-qPCR, and molecular cloning
- Library preparation and sequencing analysis
- Phage display
- DNA/RNA isolation and purification
- Recombinant protein expression and purification (FPLC experience highly desirable)
- Flow cytometry experience is a bonus but not mandatory
- Mammalian and bacterial cell culture
- Immunoassays (western blot & ELISA)
- Familiarity with common scientific analytical tools (GraphPad Prism, R, Python, etc.) and use of an ELN
