Full Job Description
Position Summary
The position is on the Translational Science & Biomarkers team which supports preclinical and clinical programs through the discovery, development, and validation of biomarkers that inform mechanism of action, indication selection, patient stratification, and clinical development strategy. ImmunEdge is seeking a highly collaborative and scientifically rigorous translational scientist with strong expertise in immune-oncology and tumor biology. The successful candidate will integrate molecular, cellular, and tissue-based data to characterize therapeutic targets, define tumor and immune biology, identify potential biomarkers, and support precision medicine strategies across ImmunEdge's pipeline. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with biomarker assays, tumor specimens and clinical samples.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct and interpret molecular, cellular, immunological, blood-based, and tissue-based assays using mouse- and human-derived samples across preclinical and clinical research
  • Conduct multiparameter flow cytometry, immune-cell phenotyping, functional cellular assays, and assessment of blood-based soluble biomarkers.
  • Analyze and integrate complex datasets, including genomic/transcriptomic data, multiparameter flow cytometry, tissue-based biomarkers, and experimental data, to characterize tumor and immune biology and identify clinically relevant biomarkers.
  • Contribute to translational and biomarker strategy by proposing and testing new hypotheses that support therapeutic development, indication prioritization, and patient-selection strategies.
  • Execute clinical biomarker strategies to support patient stratification, pharmacodynamic assessment, mechanism-of-action evaluation, and clinical development, including biomarker assay implementation, clinical sample analysis, and integration of tissue, genomic, and translational data.
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in Immunology, Cancer Biology, Molecular and Cellular Biology, or a related field (or M.S. with additional relevant experience).
  • 2+ years of industry experience in oncology drug development, translational science, biomarker development, or a related area.
  • Strong knowledge of oncology and immuno-oncology, including tumor-immune interactions and mechanisms of therapeutic response and resistance.
  • Proficiency with laboratory techniques including tissue culture, ELISA, qPCR, western blotting, flow cytometry, and tissue-based assays.
  • Experience working with tumor specimens and clinical samples is preferred.
  • Experience integrating genomic/transcriptomic data, IHC/pathology, clinical metadata, and other multimodal biomarker datasets.
  • Highly collaborative, intellectually curious, strategically minded, and able to work effectively across disciplines.
