Full Job Description
We are seeking a vibrant, purposeful, and competent Sales Manager for the Western Americas Sales Territory with a passion for enabling scientific progress through our innovative product and service offerings. This individual must demonstrate the capacity to work autonomously, while partnering with our existing team to propel our commercial efforts in structural variants and 3D genomics. This role will support our genomic variant products and services business unit-directly targeting cancer applications for market growth. Candidates with prior sales experiences selling NGS-based tools and solutions, especially epigenetics products are preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:
• Prospect, nurture, and close quality accounts to meet and/or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Track sales-qualified leads, accurately forecast territory performance, and capture market intelligence using CRM
• Develop market specific, account-based sales strategies to achieve sales growth across Cantata's products and services.
• Prospect and develop high-margin customer accounts through relationship building sales techniques. Maintain primary relationship with prospects during pre-sales, sales and post sales phases.
• Prepare and present compelling sales pitch and participate in all sales activities.
• Support market development and commercialization efforts for new products and new market initiatives.
• Support Marketing team during workshops, conventions, seminar series and other marketing activities as required.
• Create and implement a business plan that satisfies goals as established by sales management.
• Manage, maintain and document qualified leads using internal CRM and other database tools.

Position Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science
• 3-5+ years' proven track record selling into the oncology and cancer research field
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing territory plan to achieve significant account and revenue growth
• Strong negotiation skills, proven consultative sales experience and ability to persuade with scientific data.
• Demonstrated proactiveness in sales activities with strong "hunter" mentality.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the Americas 50% and up to 75%.

Preferred Skills/Background:
• Familiarity with the competitive landscape and trends in the genomic variant space including oncology, rare disease, and drug development
• Prior sales experience in a highly technical field such as Next Generation Sequencing, pharma, molecular testing, epigenetics, metagenomics, applied science or chromatin architecture study
