Full Job Description
We are pleased to announce an opening for a Science & Technology (S&T) Engineer who will join our Engineering Services Team in Huntsville, AL and become part of our rapidly growing technology company operating in missile defense, cybersecurity, test range modernization, and space control marketspaces. Qualified candidates will be part of an exceptional team supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) mission to develop and deploy a layered Missile Defense System to defend the United States, its deployed forces, allies, and friends from missile attacks in all phases of flight.

Responsibilities:

The S&T Engineer will provide technical and programmatic support to multiple MDA teams on the TEAMS-Next Specialized Engineering Analyses contract. This role bridges S&T programs with program management. The analyst will help MDA teams evaluate, manage, and communicate progress across a diverse portfolio of advanced technology efforts. The most important attribute for success is the ability to come up to speed quickly on unfamiliar technical areas and contribute wherever the program needs it, whether that means reviewing technical reports, coordinating meetings, or preparing materials for leadership.

The selected candidate will support programs spanning the following technical areas:
  • Terrestrial and space nuclear power
  • Pulsed power
  • Cyber warfare
  • High altitude sensing
  • Infrared (IR) and ultraviolet (UV) sensors
  • Blast modeling and effects
  • Satellite systems

Duties include:
  • Review technical reports, programmatic reports, and contract deliverables across the technical portfolio, and provide assessments to government leads
  • Review and evaluate technical proposals, including Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) proposals
  • Assist in developing SBIR solicitation topics and packages
  • Support the procurement process by preparing and processing acquisition forms and documentation
  • Prepare PowerPoint briefings and other program communication materials for MDA leadership
  • Organize and coordinate program meetings, reviews, and working groups
  • Participate in and contribute to planning meetings and technology road mapping efforts

Basic Qualifications:

At a minimum, qualified candidates must have:
  • A bachelor's degree in a technical field such as engineering, mathematics, physical sciences, or computer science.
  • At least 7 years of full-time professional experience in a technical, scientific, or program support role, preferably supporting the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Must have or be eligible to obtain an active Top Secret clearance.
  • Must be able to work at our customer site in [Location].

Lacking any one of these disqualifies any applicants from this job.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical background or working familiarity with one or more of the program areas listed above
  • Prior experience supporting MDA or other DoD science and technology organizations in a SETA or A&AS capacity
  • Experience with the SBIR/STTR program, including topic development, solicitation preparation, or proposal evaluation
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition and procurement processes and documentation
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technical subjects rapidly and synthesize them for non-specialist audiences and decision-makers
  • Ability to independently develop clear, polished presentations for senior leadership
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks across different programs and teams
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and MS Office proficiency
