Overview

Make an Impact as a School-Based Pediatric Occupational Therapist — $40–$50/hr | Full-Time, School-Year Schedule

 

Alabama school systems offer the opportunity to serve local communities while working a predictable, school-year schedule across multiple schools within one district.

 

In this school-based role, you’ll support students across multiple schools within one district in the Alabama school system, collaborating with educators and staff to promote student mobility and success. This full-time position offers 30–40 hours per week and follows the school-year calendar (10-month schedule), providing built-in breaks and work-life balance.

 

Responsibilities

You’ll achieve success by: 

  • Conduct evaluations, identify areas of concern, and collaborate with IEP teams to support student academic success.
  • Plan and implement effective treatment programs focused on sensorimotor, educational, recreational, and social activities.
  • Provide consultation and education for teachers and staff to enhance fine motor, visual motor, sensory processing, attention, and executive functioning skills in students.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with state regulations and district standards for accuracy and timeliness.
Qualifications

Qualifications:     

  • Occupational Therapist Licensure in good standing
  • CPR and first aid certification required
