Cross Country Education is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) in La Plata, MD, to provide individualized therapy and collaborate with school teams and families to support students' mobility, independence, and success.

Position Overview
  • Conduct formal and informal assessments for Pre-K-12 students, focusing on gross motor development, functional mobility, adaptive skills, and activities of daily living.
  • Create and implement therapy goals and services through IEP/IFSP processes, including recommendations for therapy frequency, intensity, accommodations, and equipment.
  • Partner with educators, families, related-service providers, medical professionals, and community partners to support students' participation, mobility, independence, and access to learning.
  • Complete therapy documentation, evaluations, progress reports, and Medicaid billing while meeting regulatory and service timelines.

Qualifications
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree
  • Current Maryland Physical Therapist license issued by the Maryland State Board of Physical Therapy
  • Experience with school-based evaluations, IEP/IFSP development, multidisciplinary collaboration, and consultation with families and educational staff preferred
