Responsibilities

  • Fill in for the Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent when absent.
  • Coordinate production scheduling and shipment to meet delivery requirements.

  • Oversee hourly shipping employees' activities.
  • Email daily inventory and shipment summaries.
  • Reconcile daily rail car reports and stock lists.
  • Manage ordering of machine materials and chemicals.

Full Job Description
General Summary

Organize & direct the scheduling and traffic functions of all corrugating medium production at the Massillon Mill.

Prerequisites

Education: Minimum of High School Education, but prefer two-year degree

Work Experience: Background in planning, scheduling and sales functions. Supervisory experience preferred.

Skills: Good communication skills - Sales and Service Orientation

Training: Basic understanding of PC's and computer programs

Others: Have a workable knowledge of Massillon's quality specifications and product line.

Overall understanding of truck and rail functions and freight costs.

Essential Functions: The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to....
  1. Fill in for the Assistant Superintendent and/or Superintendent in his/her absence
  2. Coordinate scheduling of paper machine production and shipment to meet customer delivery requirements
  3. Enter downtime for Paper Machines daily, adjust as needed
  4. Direct the activities of hourly shipping employees
  5. Morning inventory email daily (ex. 960 tons on floor - 9 missed loads - 31 loaded trailers)
  6. Reconcile rail cars daily
  7. Shipments summary daily
  8. Create load codes on trim sheets daily
  9. Responsible for inventory and ordering of machine felt/clothing daily
  10. Responsible for ordering chemicals from Solenis, Crews and Olin
  11. Responsible for school recycling programs, including maintenance and yearly inspection of trailers daily
  12. Create load shells for CPU's daily
  13. Dispatch loads daily
  14. Reconcile stock list daily
  15. Coordinate school trailer switch between the school and shuttle daily
  16. Reconcile Swidorski invoice with time scans every Monday
  17. Shipping month end 1st of every month
  18. Production month end 1st of every month
  19. Production records monthly
  20. Email outage dates to PCA corporate, salaried, and contractors, as needed
  21. Update outage calendar monthly or as needed
  22. Interview employees after incidents occur
  23. Interview for potential new hires


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

  • Starting salary range for position: $78,400 to $117,600
  • Paid Vacation: Three (3) weeks per calendar year. Pro-rata Vacation during the initial year of hire based upon start date within the calendar year.
  • Paid Holidays.
  • Within the first 30 days of employment, an employee (and their dependents) is eligible to enroll in certain benefit coverages -- medical, dental, and vision - and are automatically enrolled in life, AD&D, and disability coverages.
  • Upon hire, an employee is automatically enrolled in the 401k plan. The plan offers both pre-tax and Roth contribution options along with employer provided matching contributions
