Full Job Description
Overview

Coborn's is seeking an experienced and collaborative Scanning & Receiving Operations Manager to lead and strengthen our scanning and receiving programs across our retail locations. In this role, you'll serve as the organization's subject matter expert for scanning, receiving, inventory accuracy, pricing integrity, and related operational processes.

You'll work closely with Store Operations, Merchandising, Information Technology, Asset Protection, Distribution, and store leadership to establish operational standards, monitor performance, improve processes, and ensure consistent execution across the organization. You'll also be a key resource for our Store Scanning Coordinators and Receiving Managers, providing coaching, training, and hands-on operational support.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced retail operations professional who enjoys being in the stores, developing others, solving operational challenges, and turning insights into practical improvements that make our teams and business stronger.

What You'll Do at Coborn's

As our Scanning & Receiving Operations Manager, you'll help shape how scanning and receiving programs are executed throughout Coborn's. You'll combine operational expertise, data analysis, coaching, and cross-functional partnership to strengthen accuracy, compliance, and consistency across our locations.

In this role, you will:
  • Serve as the company's subject matter expert for scanning and receiving programs, processes, and systems.
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously improve operational policies, procedures, standards, training, and best practices.
  • Champion initiatives that strengthen scanning accuracy, pricing integrity, receiving execution, inventory accuracy, and operational consistency.
  • Conduct store visits and operational audits to evaluate scanning and receiving processes, monitor compliance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Analyze operational performance, reporting, trends, and risks and recommend practical corrective actions and process improvements.
  • Partner with operational leaders to develop action plans that strengthen execution, compliance, and accountability.
  • Coach, train, mentor, and support Store Scanning Coordinators, Receiving Managers, store leaders, and other team members to strengthen operational knowledge and execution.
  • Provide operational support during new initiatives, system enhancements, process changes, store challenges, and business transitions.
  • Develop and deliver training related to operational programs, systems, processes, and best practices.
  • Serve as a key liaison between our retail locations and Support Center teams, helping ensure business needs, priorities, and expectations are clearly communicated and understood.
  • Partner with Merchandising, Store Operations, Information Technology, Distribution, Asset Protection, and other teams to troubleshoot issues and improve business processes.
  • Support the testing, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of scanning, receiving, inventory, and related operational systems.
  • Identify root causes of operational challenges and recommend sustainable solutions that improve accuracy, efficiency, and execution.
  • Support operational reporting and system utilization while identifying opportunities to improve data accuracy, compliance, and performance.

Why You'll Love This Role

This role offers the opportunity to make an impact across the entire Coborn's organization. Rather than supporting just one location, you'll help influence how scanning and receiving programs are executed throughout our retail network.

You'll spend time working directly with store teams, coaching and developing employees, evaluating processes, and helping locations solve real operational challenges. You'll also have a voice in larger company initiatives by partnering with teams across Store Operations, Merchandising, Information Technology, Distribution, and Asset Protection.

If you enjoy retail operations, digging into how and why processes work, developing others, and finding better ways to get things done, this role gives you the opportunity to turn that expertise into improvements that can be felt across our employee-owned company.
