SAP Technical System Analyst (Senior)

What's the opportunity?

As a member of the HR & Compensation Technologies IT team, you will partner with IT and assigned business lines to assess, research, and analyze business, technical, and system needs. You will resolve business systems issues by recommending and implementing technology solutions that meet sponsor/stakeholder needs - with a focus on transformation programs.

What will you do?
  • Estimate, analyze, design, build, unit test, conduct technical code reviews, support QA, implement, schedule jobs, and coordinate post-implementation support with appropriate documentation of medium to high complexity programs following standard RBC processes.
  • Provide consulting services on initiatives and proposals (small to large size and complexity).
  • Assess, research, and analyze business and system needs, exploring alternative options to recommend and implement technology solutions that meet sponsor needs.
  • Lead small to large projects identifying, tracking, and resolving technical issues.
  • Communicate and coordinate with internal service groups (Offshore team, Production Support, DBA, Architecture, Security, etc.) and external stakeholders.
  • Organize and participate in walkthroughs and reviews of technical specifications, programs, and unit test plans.
  • Facilitate small to large group meetings for technical design, decision making, problem solving, and task implementation.


Must-have
  • Minimum 7 years in-depth experience as a SAP ABAP Developer (Classic & Modern) - Data Dictionary, Module Pools, Function Modules, Objects/Classes, BDC development, SAP Scripts, SAP Web Dynpro, Jobs and program variants
  • Ability to design and implement SAP Fiori/UI5 applications with Fiori Launchpad configuration, tile management, and expertise in UI5 controls, data binding, routing, and component-based architecture.
  • Working knowledge of SAP BTP architecture, Cloud Foundry runtime, SAP Integration Suite, security and authentication mechanisms (XSUAA, Identity Authentication Service), and side-by-side extensibility patterns.
  • Ability to create and manage OData services (v2 and v4), experience with SAP Gateway and CAP, RESTful API design, and SAP Web Services (SOAP/RFC) for enterprise integration.
  • Knowledge of SAP HR/HCM modules (Payroll, Benefits, Compensation, Time Management), HR infotype, Personnel Administration, Organizational Management, and HR-specific interfaces (ESS, MSS)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent communication and teamwork; agile mindset experienced in iterative and waterfall methodologies across distributed teams.

Nice-to-have
  • Proficiency in generative AI tools for ABAP/BTP development, AI-assisted code generation and documentation, and SAP AI Business Services for intelligent automation.
  • SAP HANA database design, optimization, SAP Process Orchestration expertise

and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) integration
  • CI/CD pipeline experience for ABAP and BTP deployments (gCTS, SAP BTP CI/CD service)
  • Working knowledge of Python for scripting, automation, and integration tasks
